History

Asphodel Norwood, Ontario was originally inhabited by the Mississauga Anishinaabe people. It was settled by Europeans in the early 1800s. The Village of Norwood and the Township of Asphodel were amalgamated in 1998 to form the Township of Asphodel–Norwood.

Norwood Fall Fair

Established in 1868 and taking place during the Thanksgiving weekend, the Norwood Fall Fair is a traditional community event featuring competitions for local farmers and a variety of fun activities suitable for the entire family.

Founded in 1987, Vanderview Farms is a family-owned and operated farm. The farm offers tours and educational programs for those interested in learning more about sustainable farming practices. Visitors can also visit the on-site store to purchase their products.
